FIFTH SUNDAY SERVICE: August 29th our worship focus will be on Holy Communion. Communion is a wonderful sacrament instituted by Jesus and given to the Church. We partake of the Lord's Supper in remembrance of what Jesus has done for us. Following the morning service we will have a church picnic (indoors). No casseroles allowed, only your favorite picnic foods. Please join us as we worship and fellowship together!
MYF - Methodist Youth Fellowship:
A COOL CHURCH: We may be the coolest
church in town!!! Our Trustee's just purchased and installed a
new Air Conditioner for the sanctuary. We should now have more
than enough A/C to keep us comfortable...
WEDNESDAY ACTIVITIES: Our church is a
busy place on Wednesday nights. Please feel free to come and
be a part of the activities:
CHURCH DIRECTORIES: Our Church
Directories are now available for pickup. Please see Ms. Irene
Cook to get a directory for your family. Thanks to our Family
Directory Committee for all the hard work!
THE SOUP GROUP:
This
week the youth will meet at the church at 6:00 pm and share
food, fun, and fellowship, and music. Come join your friends and Nikki and Devin for another special youth
event.
CHURCH PROJECTS: Our Trustee's have
compiled a list of projects and items that we need and would like to
give our members the opportunity to sponsor an item in memory or in
honor of a loved one. Upon completion, a list of donors will
be published for distribution. This is a great way to help us
take care of the Lord's House...
Adult Choir Practice - 5:00 pm
Bible Study - 6:00 pm (We are
currently studying the book of Revelation)
Youth Meeting - 6:00 pm
Children's Choir and Activities- 6:00 pmThe Soup Group
continues its ministry of providing home-made soup to the elderly,
sick, and shut-ins of our community. No, you don't have to be
a Methodist to be a part of this. In fact, most of our
recipients are non-Methodist. The
Soup Group serves the community on the first Thursday of the month. This is truly a service of love
that the community has come to appreciate.
MEMORIAL GARDENS:
We have several designated areas around the church that will be
landscaped as small memorial gardens. If you would like to
sponsor one of these areas and have it designated in memory of a
loved one, please contact the church. We only have a few more
areas available. A special thanks to Kenneth Lee for
overseeing this beautification project.
